Recovery - I saved over a document by accident

I saved over a document on Word for Mac 2011 by accident--and I need to find the previous version of the doc before I saved over it!! Can anyone help? I've saved over some unretrievable and unsaved elsewhere information

I've tried apple support and microsoft with a not very helpful person but to no no avail. I'm hoping the previous version will be somewhere on the computer

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

That model has a 128GB or 256GB SSD drive as its boot Drive. Unless you have those files on a Time Machine Backup, they are GONE.

with SSD drives with TRIM enabled the data become completely unavailable as soon as the files are erased.

If it did have a Hard Drive (that spins) [which your model does not] there was a slim chance you could bring that file back.
