Notes on Macbook air

Cannot open my Notes on macbook air;

Cannot find Notes app on Apple store;

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), chinese input method

Manually download and install this update combo. It should repair the issue with Notes. Notes is a core app installed with OS X. It is not available to separately download from the Mac App Store.

Thanks, Dah.veed, but I was not able to install OS X El Caiptan successfully. the small circle kept spinning....i tried many times. my mackbook air was purchased last Christmas. i am not a techie...

Are you saying that you were not successful downloading the installer file? Or are you saying that after downloading the file you could not get it to function and install OS X?

Try creating a test user account on your Mac and try it from there.

I was not able to download the installer successfully, even I changed to a new test user account to test as you suggested.

The small circle on the top left corner of Capitan download screen kept spinning.

Are you using Little Snitch or anti-viral software? They interfere with downloads.

It works now, although I do not know why it works all of sudden. By the way, i am not using Little snitch or anti-viral software. Thanks for the help

Hi Dah.veed, it's me again. Now i have uograded to Capitan and Notes is back too. Thanks. But my back ground screen is blurry. Is that normal?

It was half doom before and very clear.

I use custom Desktop photos and mine are crystal clear. Have you tried going to Sys Prefs/Desktop & Screen Saver/Desktop and tried changing it to something else?
