Voicemail not deleting from app. Mailbox full.

I've attempted to delete the voicemail through the application several times. As soon as I slide to delete and press delete the voicemail reappears just as it was before the deletion attempt. The message still appears in deleted messages and when I clear them the deleted messages actually clears, but the messages remain in the main voicemail section. i have restored my phone to a factory state and started as a fresh iPhone, as soon as I log into my AppleID the voicemail comes back and I am stuck in this loop. This was an issue I was having before upgrading to iOS 9.


Any ideas on how to go about solving this issue?

Put your phone into Airplane Mode (Settings > Airplane Mode switch to ON (green side showing), then delete the messages. Switch Airplane mode back off. You can also call in to your voice mail service and delete them from there.
