My ipod in not working the screen is black I think it froze plus my home button is not working what should I do

what I meant by home button is not functioning its like stuck so I cant click it but I juts realized that at some point my ipod turns on and it shows the multitasking area but I cant do anything I can just touch the incentive touch that's it but when I try going home it doesn't work and switching apps doesn't work also
just turn it off by pressing home button and power button at the same tme...hope this helps
