AT&T WiFi calling issue

Hello all,

AT&T has introduced WiFi calling and I'm using it on my iPhone 6 running iOS 9.0.2 it works great with most callers saying the connection is very clear. the only issue is when I call my wife's iPhone 5 she is unable to hear me at all when I have WiFi calling enabled. I then turned off the WiFi calling on my iPhone 6 and then am able to call my wife without any difficulty , My wife's iPhone 5 is on my AT&T account on the Mobile Share Value family plan, note before I'd gotten the iPhone 6 last September I was using the iPhone 5 my wife currently uses. I'm only encountering difficulty when trying to call my wife's line or when she try's to call me and only when I'm using WiFi calling, calls made and received when using WiFi calling to anyone other than my wife's line are fine.

I have contacted AT&T customer care this morning and they said they haven't heard of this issue yet, I have found one other person with the exact same issue over on the AT&T Community Forums so I know it's not just me. AT&T started a trouble ticket so it will be a few days until I hear anything back from them.

Hope they can work the bugs out because WiFi calling is very beneficial in poor signal areas.

Thank you,

Steve

Just throwing my hat in this ring. iPhone 6, 64GB, iOS 9.1 (13B143).

With att Wi-Fi calling enabled my calls have been dropping when I have excellent cell signal and excellent Wi-Fi signal. The speakerphone would turn off at random points during the calls. And their voice cuts out for a few seconds, usually several times throughout the call.

I just turned off Wi-Fi calling to see if that makes it better. Shame since many of the service calls I go to are in areas with poor cell signal, but the Wi-Fi is usually good, so it's been helpful when calling tech support, etc. I guess I'll just have to toggle on/off when I need it. I hope the procedure doesn't take as long as the initial enable did.

Update to my earlier post.

Changing the settings on my Firewall helped for awhile a but the issue with placing and receiving calls on my MacBook with AT&T NumberSync is still flaky and intermittent. If I restart my MacBook and Firewall everything is operational but within about an hour it typically fails. The issue is definitely not resolved and I've spent a LOT of time on the phone with AT&T technical support.

Any ideas regarding this would be appreciated.
