My iPod touch 5th gen just turned off today and I can't turn it back on.

Today, after I got off work and got in my car, my iPod wouldn't turn on. I was using it 15 min prior and I didn't notice it acting up or anything, I just finished listening to a song before I clocked out of work. Anyways, I tried plugging it in to see if I could get a reaction, but nothing has happened. I doesn't even warm up like it would if it were charging. Does anybody have an idea or answer? I really hope that my iPod didn't fry out, I use it all the time at the library where I work.

Next, try the remaining items of:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
