iPhone 6S plus nasty/noisy/unclear speaker audio quality on Facebook messenger

I'm using iPhone 6S Plus, and found the speaker audio quality is nasty/noisy/unclear when using Facebook messenger.

please tell me whether this is a hardware problem or not and how to fix.

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 9.0.2

The audio quality when playing music seems fine.

I am having the same issue with my iPhone 6s, iOs 9.0.2 while using the GoToMeeting App. The audio is fine using my bluetooth headset or with external speaker connected via mini Jack. But the internal speaker has a very static Cylone sound.

Seems to just be the internal speaker. very odd
