Imac typing lag,clicking, added characters

27 inch retina dec 2014. After downloading El Captain.

Spasmodically when typing in safari or mail there will be significant lag

and sometimes added characters say in passwords. Box will show up with

little characters. Lots of clicking like key being held down.

Only way I know to resolve is to restart. Four calls w Apple care.

PRAM, cleared cache, reinstalled El C, changed keyboard batteries.

Still a problem. Any suggestions? Thanks

keyboard replacement didn't help. problem seems to have been I was using trackpad and mouse at same time.

why it started after El Cap will likely never know. credit Jeni at Apple for finding

the problem. Good job Jeni!
