you need a newer version of keynote to open this application

I am trying to open a keynote presentation from 2014. It won't open and gave me

this message you need a newer version of keynote to open this application", but I

have the latest version installed...

Why would i get this message?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4), windows 7 parallels

I'm afraid the latest version of Keynote will not install on OS X 10.7. You'll need probably at least 10.9 or 10.10.
