El Capitan Photos - location problems

I have updated to Photos with El Capitan installation on an iMac. My iPhoto events have been imported but there are problems with Locations. For example an “event” shows the Location correctly but when I select a photo within the event some show the correct Location in the Get Info box but others just stick on Looking Up Location Info and never find it.

I have tried to delete the Location for such photos but the App crashes everytime I try this.

Anyone else having these problems or know a solution?

I may have mentioned that I have the latest versions of everything.

But, doing a little troubleshooting, I came across an odd solution. In both thumbnail and full view of the picture in question, the location was stuck looking up the location. What I didn't notice was that the Remove Location menu item is only available in the full view and not the thumbnail view.

Solved.

I had the exact same problem as described in the original post. Photos was stuck looking up the location. I couldn't remove the location either. It was subsequent to this that I found that I could remove the location, but not in thumbnail view. Only in fullscreen view.

In my post, I clearly stated that I had the latest everything.

I appreciate your assistance. But, please don't accuse me of "threadjacking". Being frightened off by the "help" doesn't foster good relations in support communities.

You did threadJack and you do not have the exact same problem as you do not have the exact same software

If you want help then read the article and act reasonable - otherwise enjoy having bad locations

The original problem discussed here is fixed for me by the Sierra upgrade - I can now enter this location:

89.999°N, 10.0°W

On El Capitan, the windmill would be endlessly spinning with "looking up location", but on macOS Sierra 10.12.1 it will only spin for 15 seconds or so and then finally come up with "Arctic Ocean".

It does no longer hang, but some results are weird. Going even farther North , close to the pole, the location will be the name of the time zone:
