Spent hours on the phone with Apple Care after paying $1200 for a new phone which will not connect with my car Blue Tooth. My prior phone had iOS 9.1 and connected to my car's bluetooth easily. This phone has iOS 9.2. I know there were problems with iOS 8 having this issue. After several attempts at troubleshooting, the tech on the phone suggested I upgrade my firmware on my car. When I told him others are having this issue and the problem is with the updated iOS, he couldn't get off the phone fast enough. He tried to set me up with an in-store appointment, but the people in the store won't come out to my car. He was extremely curt and would not entertain the possibility that it is the updated iOS with the issue. If he would simply report this so that it can be fixed, that would have been something. But he refused to acknowledge this as a possibility. If the programmers at Apple are not made aware of this issue, how can it be fixed? I really need the bluetooth to work with my car. The bluetooth on the phone works with my television, just not my car anymore.
It wasn't giving me the passcode to enter on my car, but my car was seeing it, and the phone showed MB. After resetting network settings, per the tech, my phone no longer saw my car, but my car saw my phone. (I deleted all other phones.) After resetting everything, per the the tech, my car no longer sees the phone. So yeah, after paying for the more expensive AppleCare (it costs more for the iPhone 6splus) it is now worse.
Is there any way Apple will take responsibility and provide an upgrade to resolve this issue?
Thank you in advance, if you provide assistance to resolve this issue or provide another update to resolve this issue of at least let your developers/programmers know about this issue so they can work on another update that will handle this issue (and don't delete this message, because I have noticed that is what has been happening to anyone posting honest issues with Apple not assisting.)
