"Edit" may mean many different things, from simple to complex. Preview is very good at simple or moderate "edits", as lllaass says above.
If you need a somewhat more robust tool, you might consider PDFPen: https://smilesoftware.com
I believe you can use a free trial for a while if you wish.
(I have no financial or any other interest in this product ... I am a PDFPen customer).
