OS X El Captain not booting after upgrade to 10.11.1

Hi,

I just upgrade to 10.11.1 from 10.11 and once after downloading the update from the app store it asked me to restart, now I am stuck at booting, the progress bar shows 100% but its freezes at that place even after multiple restarts.

I tried booting into recover mode and doing a disk check, everything looked fine.

But when I tried to boot into safe mode again the screen is stuck at progress bar 100%.

Can anyone help me in fixing this

Exactly the same problem, but progress bar shows aprox. 60% and stays there. Mac Pro mid 2010. Now restoring from Time Machine.

Same thing here, restoring and will hold from upgrading for a few days until some workaround is posted.

I contacted support, and they suggested to reinstall OS without wiling the HD, but the same issue occurred, stuck at 100% progress. So they asked me to take back of my data and do a HD wipe and reinstall, I did and was able to boot successfully now 🙂 Finally!!!!
