i updates and turned my phone off for two hours, turned it back on and now it won't connect to Verizon. I took out the sim and put it back in to no avail. I rset network settings as well, nothing. Is this an ios 9.1 bug?? Please help!

Since updating to iOS 9.1 I have NO SERVICE. Unable to connect to my Verizon network.
I have tried restarting the phone via holding the lock button for 10s. I have also reset all network settings with no luck.
I have checked for cell network update. I have gone through all the steps aforementioned regarding "if you can't connect to a cell network"
help!
I found a way to resolve the issue. Turns out that there is a carrier update (in my case Verizon). A pop up came up and said if I wanted to update carrier settings, clicked yes and got service back. So go to "about" in settings and it might prompt you to update your carrier settings. If not just wait, I waited a few hours before I got the pop up
