Hi

In order to see the "i" icon and device name on your watch when pairing your devices manually, follow these steps:

- Wear Apple Watch on your wrist and choose a language.

- Separately on each device, tap on Start Pairing (on your iPhone, do this within the Watch app).

- Tap Pair Apple Watch Manually on your iPhone.

- Tap the info icon "i" on your watch (it will be shown now). Your device's name should be displayed on the watch face.

- On your iPhone, tap the device name matching that shown on your watch face.

- A six-digit code will be displayed on your watch. Enter that code on your iPhone to pair the two devices.

- Then follow the remaining steps as prompted to Set Up.

Hi Jonathan UK,

I want to sync my watch with my phone for a 2nd time, yesterday I rebooted my phone from the beginning ( I delete everything and restart with my last update). but now I don't want to loose all of my info on my watch and I don t want to delete to restart everything. To start your steps I cannot choose the language and I really don t see the "i" on my watch ??? and I don t see my devices number or name appear on my phone when I do those step.

Thanks

Hi Pierre

If you have not yet unpaired your watch (but your iPhone no longer believes it is paired with it), you will first need to reset your watch:

Go to the Home screen on your watch (a single press on the Digital Crown) > Settings (cog icon) > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings.

If your iPhone was restored from a backup (so was not completely erased and still contains previous watch backups), you will be offered the option of restoring your watch from backup during the process of setting it up again via the Watch app. This will restore most of your settings. Otherwise, you will have to set up it up as a new watch.
