I have exactly the same problem and am a Rogers subscriber in Canada.

This is phone behaivour as best I can tell. It's unlikely that a carrier could influence this. I support mostly Verizon phones (have one myself) and have never seen it.

Agree feels odd to be carrier issue. I have used both rogers and now Telus in Canada and same issue.

I do love seeming like a maniac anytime I try to reference a friend or my personal peeve, a country or city.

Yup. Happens every single time. And it will not "unlearn" the behavior no matter how often I "x-out" or delete the all-caps option. It does it for proper names. And it's been doing it for at least 18 months. I'm on AT&T in NJ.

You do realize you are not addressing Apple here? No one from Apple is here to help you. This is a user to user support forum. Everyone replying here are end users, just like you. I am obviously being facetious. BUT, it's OKAY that you don't get that.

No one has any idea what caused this since there are only a few of you that report the issue. And chill, you are the one using the caps lock to do all the yelling. Why make statements such as "Thanks, Apple!"? That makes it look as though you are unaware that Apple is not here, so that is why I responded as I did.

It's not caps, it's the problem described here in the thread. Again, I'm being faceitous. But you clearly understand that :-)

Hello, I had the same issues before. You need to go to Settings/General/Keyboard and turn off Autocapitalization. That has worked for me. I am on AT&T so it's not a Verizon issue.
