'filter' failed when printing on Epson AcuLaser CX17WF

I have an Epson AcuLaser CX17WF and recently upgraded my laptop to El Capitan (OS X 10.11). Since then, I cannot print anymore and constantly get the message "'filter' failed".

I have the same message on another Mac with El Capitan.

I have tried to "reset the printing system", manually configure printer, remove it, reinstall it, but nothing works.

The printer always installs successfully (green dot) and seems fine (also when I go to the http interface of the printer everything looks fine and "ready to print"), but when trying to print, it starts then fail with that message.

I checked the cups error_log and found this:

D [28/Oct/2015:21:11:17 +0100] [Job 2] PID 825 (/usr/libexec/cups/filter/sehk3ap) crashed on signal 11.

Can anyone help ? Thanks !

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11)
