how to "unforget" a Bluetooth Device

I have seen several posts similar to this question and they don't seem to ever be resolved. The last post was from about 2 years ago so I hope a solution in one of the new revisions of iOS has solved this issue.

Not that it matters but my device is a Garmin 25. It is in pairing mode (so don't send me a link to a page on how to put it into pairing mode 😉 )

I wanted to un-pair and then later re-pair the device with my iPhone 6 so I hit "forget this device" in the Bluetooth screen on my iPhone -- this seems to have been a mistake. When I have gone back to pair the devices later (with pairing mode ON 😀) my iPhone will not see it 😟.

I tried powering down and back up.

I even went so far as "resetting" the device (which is a pain to recover from by the way even though it does not erase any data etc)

I have not been able to find a way to tell the phone to un-forget the device so that I can pair it again.

ANYONE?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.2

You can't undo a forget. Turn Bluetooth off and back on on your IOS device. If that device is sending a Bluetooth pairing request your phone will see it. If you still don't see the device on your iPhone the issue lies with the device. Power off the device and re initialize pairing on the device. Sometimes pairing requests sort of time out.

IF still issues call the device manufacturer. Its 99% chance related to the pairing capabilities of the device.

AS the previous poster stated, resetting network settings on your iPhone and attempting again will eliminate that 1% chance the issue lies with the phone.
