iPhone 6 cracked screen and bent?
My daughter got a iPhone 6 about a month ago, had it in a case, but the screen shattered when she accidentally dropped it. She went over to Apple today to get the screen replaced, and after waiting an hour after her appointment, she presented her phone. The guy at the Genius Bar said, sure we can replace that for you, I just need to take it in the back. He came back out and said it wouldn't "calibrate" that it was bent and they couldn't replace the screen. She asked him to show her and he couldn't. Doesn't rock and sits completely flat. But he said it didn't matter if you can't tell, they use a machine to see if it calibrates. I see that bending of iPhone 6 and 6S is an unfortunate problem that is new because phones are so thin. What are they using? Old soda cans? Anyway, I ask...why can they not replace the screen anyway? There is NO visible bending, and it lays flat. What is the bend threshold?
