Cannot share HomeKit controls

Apple screwed up badly. First was the high Sierra vulnerability now is the HomeKit vulnerability. Software quality has been trash.

Same here.

Tried all fixes, except completely resetting my "Home".

Nothing worked, but a lot of stuff got messed up in the process.

This bug exists for a few years now. Apple has to fix this already!

Yes, thank you. I knew about the security hole and I should have made the connection. But I'm not too embarrassed since the Apple help desk didn't know it either.

So Apple just released an update and I still cant add my wife I still get the same error. Thanks Apple!

Just installed 11.2.1 with ‘Homekit fixes’ ... no luck. Still can’t add anybody as their iCloud addresses aren’t registered with iCloud 🙄

What did you log out of? All your devices? As in your Apple ID?

So, turn off Find my friends, etc?

It kept all your home devices when you logged back in?

Same here... Updates, reconnected... and no success.

What’s up with Apple?

Steve would have kicked some people with this bad Performance.

Could also be a MF2A issue, so will test that later tonight although apple did not suggest this as a fix.

Exactly the same issue I’m having!

I've updated both iphone 7 to the latest release 11.2.1 and still have the issue, looks like a server-side error, also open a ticket at apple and no comeback at all yet.

Just completed 11.2.1 upgrade which specifically identified this Cannot Invite issue.......AAAAAANNNNDDDD....it did absolutely nothing. Are we getting another update soon?

Feb 4, 2018, still can't invite members of my household to control the lights in their own home. :-/

Just piling on hoping squeaky wheel gets the grease. Same "is not an iCloud email" error when trying to add my wife. She has an iPhone 7 and iPad 2. Has a valid iCloud account. Initially I was able to add her, but she could not see all the devices. So I tried removing her and adding back and that is when the error started. Everything else seems to be working.

Interestingly when she tries to login at http://appleid.apple.com it initially logs in but then immediately logs out saying this session has timed out for your security. I am suspicious something is up with her iCloud account.
