Hi! Hoping for help from better minds than mine. I have a Mid 2015 MBP Retina OSX El Capitan.

I also had a Boot Camp installation of Windows 10 hang at the Realtek audio step. Stupidly, I cancelled the installation before reading this entire thread ;/

I did go to the Task manager and stopped the Realtek installation. But since I had earlier pressed the cancel button for the BC install but nothing was responding, it cancelled and I got a message saying the BootCamp installation did not complete.

So I am now in the BC Assistant on the Mac side downloading the windows support software. Sorry to sound stupid, but do I just reboot in windows and install it from the USB (is it one executable file)?

Or do I need to delete the partition and start over since some of the drivers installed but not others? I am assuming that Windows is only partially installed?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you! Just got back from a trip and finished used this fix. Looks to have installed properly. I did have to skip the Realtek Audio installation again using the task manager, but the rest of the installation went smoothly. I seem to have audio but have not fully tested it.

I will reinstall the Realtek driver by itself. Is there any other QC I should do to make sure everything installed properly?

Thanks again for all the help!
