medici tv app not working, drops out when asked to play

Have used medici tv app for two years with success. Suddenly the app will no longer work. When a selection of movie is selected to play the selection will start but only last one or two seconds and then the app drops right out and the ipad returns to the desktop mode.

Several times I have deleted and reinstalled the app, also reset the ipad. This problem started about a month ago just after a couple of O/S updates were done, can I back date these to see if that has caused the problem
