I've been following the links to where the iTunes Producer download should be but, It's not there as far as OI can see. I created two books using iBook Author and now I'm trying to upload them with iTunes Producer.

I went to that page but the only active buttons are 'Catalog Reports' and 'Done'. The box (My Books) that these are associated with says, 'You don’t have any books' which, is true. These two are my first.
Have you set up an itunesconnect account for books and logged into it?

When I go back to iBook Author and hit publish your book, it sends me to https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/apps/overview for the download link for iBook Producer. There's a lot there so, I might be missing it. The page looks like it's for app developers.
funny you posed this question. i spent a considerable amount of time myself last night trying to find it. it was a well guarded secret.
i'll do it again and post the exact steps. it's a race now between me and tom.

1. sign into iTunes connect.
2. click on resources and help icon on front page.
3. up pops getting started. select option 5, submit your book.
4. click on iTunes producer.
me either. i was frustrated last night and finally stumbled upon it. but it is right where you would expect it to be i guess.
I must be missing something. Getting started on this page (https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/apps/overview) number 5 is labeled 'Test your app'. Could it be that somehow, I'm being directed to a different page than you?

Bizarre!! I JUST went back to check my steps and NOW number 5 is Submit your book! I wonder if Apple was doing some kind of maintenance and for a time, the pages all wackydoddle.
I'll have to checkout the links that lead me to this spot to see if they're also now working.

depends what stage of development you are in, what you want to do with the book, whether it is for free or not, what your end user is going to use to read the book, whether you want it protected or not and maybe even the template you chose.
i sell my books for a cheap price and have them protected by apple's drm. i publish in .ibook format. i think i exported my first book into pdf because i had to send a copy to the copyright office and i was advised to do so in pdf format but it went into the ibook store as .ibook. don't know if that was good advice or not and will be exploring the issue some more this week for my next book.

Apple does not accept pdf in the ibookstore, only .ibooks or .epub.
Has something changed? Selection #5 is "Test your APP" and there is no other selection for Submit Your Book. This is super frustrating since I've been uploading books through iTunes Producer to Connect for the past year, and suddenly it's all gone wacko.
