iMessage doesn't show "delivered" on sent texts. How come?

I'm having the same problem! It's a person I text on a regular basis and it suddenly just stopped delivering. It's an iMessage but it doesn't say delivered. I'm positive they didn't block me. Ive tried all of the suggestions, such as, restarting my phone, making sure they're not blocked from my end, it's not on "do not disturb", and I've tried wifi and cellular data and nothing is working. I do text through my phone and my Mac, but I'm not sure that would screw everything up. I've never had this problem before. Do you think it would help to update my phone?

I Had this problem before. It turns out that i had blocked the person and didnt remember It. I could still call them but my messages didnt go through or showed "delivered" when they were sent. Just go to contacts, open the contact and at the bottom see if the person is blocked. Select "un-block caller" and you should be good. I hope this helps you!

Everything I've read says that iMessages still say delivered when you are blocked by someone. I'm sure you haven't been blocked, I just don't think he's getting them. Have you tried sending any more iMessages to him? Have you tried sending them as SMS? Mine won't go through either way. Something on their end is preventing them from receiving. My friend thinks its on my end, but I'm 99% certain its on his lol. I'm still super frustrated by this!!!

I still havent figured out what's going on with my situation, but I know my friend isnt gettting my iMessages or texts: To send as SMS just hold your finger down on the imessage and a message will pop up giving you the option to send as SMS text message. It should turn green after you do that.

Same thing is happening to me!

But I can call the person but none of my texts or imessages go through!

Eeeep, unsure of what to do at this point.

Wow.....we have 3 iphones....2- iPhone 6 and 1 IPhone 6 plus.....none can facetime or imessage between them now...also hit or miss with other contacts using iPhone.....imessages turn green and say sent as SMS text...but those are not received either.. Our carrier is Sprint....iMessages also non longer show delivered or read. Reset network settings...still nothing....can you help?

I noticed I had my iPad on. It wasn't showing I sent message either. My phone looked just as yours said not delivered. I went to my iPad and resent message. It showed up as delivered both on my phone and iPad now. I think when you text between the two devices it can get dicey.

You can always just click and hold the message or photograph and select the "Send as Text Message" option. This will ensure your message actually gets through, because this will bounce back if it doesn't get to send.

Was this an iMessage (blue)? Or an SMS message (green)? If it was an SMS message, you won't see a "Delivered" message. However, SMS is about the most reliable mode of messaging. SMS will go through even when you don't have enough cell signal to make a call.

This is a current issues still on 4-2-17. I'm having the same problem where I send a message and it stays blue for days until the other person randomly hits me up with a new message. The other person's carrier is with Verizon and I'm with at&t. Hopefully there's a fix for this soon. lol

Neither of those features have anything to do with whether or not the "Delivered" indicator appears.

Is the message iMessage (blue) or SMS (green)? SMS will only show a status message if it fails. You will not see an indication that it has been delivered.

If you're not running the latest version of iOS 11, you should update. Apple releases security updates in almost every release.

I have no idea if it will solve your other problem.
