No video on the Netflix App with Apple TV 4

Thank you! This did the trick. All other apps had video & sound, except Netflix. Netflix worked last night. Unplugging HDMI brought it back... before I pulled all my hair out.

I can play Netflix fine as long as I'm streaming. But if I download a Netflix movie to watch later, I only get sound - no picture. Same is happening with another mirroring device I have that creates it's own network, so it would seen be to be either a Netflix or iPhone problem, not the Apple TV or my network.

I had the same issue, is your Apple TV running straight into the TV or is the HDMI going through a splitter of some sort I found that by running the Apple TV directly into the TV it would work but not when running through a HDMI splitter. Hope this helps

I have the new Apple TV 2015. Hulu and Netflix used to work just fine. But yesterday both Hulu and Netflix would not show video when I play anything. There's sound and subtitles but no video. It's so frustrating. Youtube and itunes are fine. I restored the Apple TV back to factory settings, reinstalled Netflix and Hulu but still the same issues. HELP!!!

Same issue:( Sounds like a bug. Please fix this Apple or Netflix. My only option right now is airplaying Amazon:/

Fyi this is a user forum. Apple is not here (nor is Netflix) you will want need to send feedback to them rather than posting in the user community... Fir what it's worth, I am not having any issues with Netflix or Hulu. They are both playing as I would expect...

Yes I know this is a user forum. I'm just letting MannyPR3 know their not alone. I have contacted apple and netflix to no avail yet.

I think the only way around this issue is to get a new TV 😟

I have found the answer, the problem for me was that I was using an MHL or mobile high definition port on my tv that a bunch of different companies have recently put in on tv's that is supposed to be used to plug your phone into your tv. Just switch to a different hdmi port on your tv and you should have success.

Remove the hdmi both connected on your tv and on your apple tv connect it back again. Everything worked well after what I did. Hopefully yours will work well too.
