How to un-pair an Apple Watch without the Watch?

A friend of mine tested an Apple Watch with his iPhone. The watch is long gone, but the Apple Watch app still asks for pairing after every iPhone reboot (see German screenshot below).

Unlike in this thread "How to Unpair without iPhone (or I Did Something Stupid)", the Watch does not show up in iCloud.com

I deleted the Watch from the known Bluetooth devices on the iPhone, but this did not change anything.

So the question remains: How to un-pair an Apple Watch without the Watch?

Thanks a lot in advance 🙂

Hi

On the iPhone, in the Watch app, if the option remains available, choose to unpair the watch:

- My Watch > Apple Watch - Unpair Apple Watch.

Otherwise, it may help to force restart the iPhone: press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for around 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

If that does not help, try backing up, resetting and restoring the iPhone:
