Single bought on iTunes doesn't show up in Album

I bought a single song on iTunes that was released a number of months before the album containing the single was released. I bought the album as well when it came available, but now I'm seeing that the single doesn't appear in the album listing on the ATV music player...it's listed under a separate album title (named after the song, of course). This means I can't listen to the album in sequence. I tried to hide the single purchase in iTunes hoping that would prompt it to appear in the ATV's music app; now it doesn't show up in Music at all (either under the album or on its own). I'm seeing the same thing in my iOS Music app as well. Anyone know how to resolve this?

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

I understand that you bought a single from the iTunes Store and later bought the whole album. It looks like the song doesn't appear in the album so you can play all the tracks in order.

Since past song purchases should appear in Music or My Music when available (Download your past purchases,) you may want to report the problem using the steps on this page:

Report a problem with an item purchased from the iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store
