I have several photos in my camera roll, and a significantly less number of photos in my Memories. So basically some of my photos in my Camera Roll HAVE DATES, but are not shown at all in Memories. How can I fix this?

If I understand correctly you are seeing a difference in photos as seen in your Camera Roll vs. Moments (viewing by year or collection).
This may be from the summarize photos option in the Photos Settings.
View photos and videos - iPhone
View all your photos and videos. By default, Photos displays a representative subset of your photos when you view by year or by collection. To see all your photos and videos, go to Settings > Photos & Camera, then turn off Summarize Photos.

Yes, you understood correctly. Unfortunately, that option was already turned off. It's actually a significant difference. about 15% of my photos are missing in memories.
