How can I connect Bose sound link mini Bluetooth speaker II with Apple TV 4th generation

Use these steps to pair a Bluetooth accessory to your Apple TV (4th generation):

1. Put your Bluetooth accessory in pairing mode using the instructions that came with it.
2. On your Apple TV, go to Settings > Remotes and Devices > Bluetooth. Your Apple TV will search for nearby Bluetooth accessories.
3. Choose your Bluetooth accessory.
4. If asked, enter a passkey or PIN. On your Apple TV, your accessory should now appear in My Devices.

The original posted stated that they had Apple TV - 3RD GENERATION - the reply was pairing an Apple TV 4TH GENERATION. So I assume that the 3rd Generation is not capable for pairing Bluetooth with the Bose mini speaker. I must also have the 3rd Gen as the simple directions are not working.

The original post stated it was a 4th gen in the subject line (perhaps the OP hadn't updated the profile as that is where it says 3rd gen). At any rate, the 3rd gen only supports bluetooth keyboards.
