Is there any way to run OSx in qemu-kvm?

Hi All,

I am a consultant. I am seeing more and more Apples. So far, I have always been able to figure them out at the customer's site. I can not afford to purchase a new computer for the purpose.

Is there a license or otherwise that will allow/enable me to run OSx inside a qemu-kvm virtual machine? Base machine would be a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 clone. Base hardware will not be made by Apple.

Barring that, is there a web site that would do a cloud OSx machine I could rent?

No. Apple license only allows you to run OS X on Apple computers.

Apple experimented with allowing their operating system to be on other hardware in the past. It nearly destroyed Apple before they were able to stop the experiment. After that episode, I doubt that anything you or I can say will change their mind again.

I doubt it too. If I am not mistaken, the license says I can run a VM of OSx if the base hardware is made by Apple, even if I reformat the base hardware to something else. So, this is a marketing issue, not a technical issue. GGGGGRRRRRR !!!! (I know, doesn't help.)

Anyway, looks like a cloud service is the best way to go at this time.
