Safari 9 Blue box white question mark instead of photos/gif after a clean install of OSX 10.11?

Hi All,

Clean installed OS X 10.11 and safari doesn't auto load some gifs/photos. Some work perfectly, others come up with a blue box with a white question mark.

This didn't happen before the clean install so I'm assuming its a setting/ plug in/ extension missing. For example, only a third of images load automatically on a website such as this http://whatshouldwecallgradschool.tumblr.com

These images do load if i click open in a new tab.
