CCan you only use the pencil in certain applications? I have a Zagg Invisishield screen protector on my iPad Pro 9.7. When I tried to use it in a handwritten text message, and again here in this message. It will not write in either. I just got the pencil and hopefully it's charged but can't be sure which is another topic , I suppose
Based on reading the apple website the sensors that trigger the fast refresh rate and the pressure sensitivity are in the pen itself. It's what makes it special. Given that it's the pen's sensors I'd guess that the screen saver shouldn't have much impact if any.
It probably doesn't make any difference. But Apple have made this display as close to the glass surface as possible, in order to reduce the parallex effect while using the pencil, I don't understand why you want to increase the parallex effect by adding something in between, given the glass is already the toughest part of the entire iPad, and it's very scratch resistant.
I think many people put on screen protectors due to past experience with Apple device screens that makes them very skeptical of the statement "it's very scratch resistant." Hopefully, unlike many in the past, it is a true statement about this one. I put a protector on mine to be safer while awaiting what others report about real-world experience.
Tempered glass is a helpful idea to get back resell value of our iPad pro and no impact of Apple pencil tilt.
I am now using 0.26mm glass as protector. No problem for the pencil response. Everything work perfectly except that the glass surface is more slippery than the ipad screen. It will effect your hand control on the pencil if you are using it for drawing & painting that require precise details. In my case, I am considering to change to the new film protector with more friction. Glass protector is not suitable for painting at all.
Totally get it about the friction! This is the first I've heard of a film protector. Im interested in knowing more. What are you finding out?
Did you find a film protector that adds friction? I tried the pro/pencil combination and found it a slippery affair, too.
