How can I fix Slideshow in Photos cutting off the top of my pictures?

I've tried it with and without the scale photo to fit screen setting. The full photos show up in the bar on the bottom but the they're cut off in the show and the preview. I'm using the Ken Burns setting, which I really like, but it's cutting the heads off people in some of the pictures. I'd appreciate any help to fix this. OXS Yosemite 10.10.5

Hello VaSherri,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand that photos in your slideshow are appearing as cropped. I know that you enjoy the Ken Burns effect for playing, but that is the exact cause of the photos not appearing in full, since Ken Burns effect zooms in and pans on photos in the slideshow. I suggest trying another form of playing, such as the default mode—Classic.

That's typical of the Ken Burns theme unless you set the start and stop point for each slide manually. To do that click on a slide in the thumbnail tray at the bottom and click on this button in the lower left hand corner of the slide:

Click on the top option to set the start location off the zoom:

Then click on the lower arrow to set the final image position

It's a lot of work for a large slideshow but maybe only a few slides will need this type of tweaking..
