Context?
Are you sure it is "42401" and not "-42401"? There can be a big difference in error numbers and you need to report them correctly.
"Error 42023" through "Error 42408"
These alerts might occur when trying to authorize iTunes or during launch when iTunes checks for authorization information.
You are correct. It is (-42401)
Thank you, but I am loading itunes 10.7. What is the SC Info folder and where can I find it?
You posted the wrong error code earlier.
Restart the computer in safe mode. Certain caches maintained by the system will be rebuilt.
Safe mode is much slower to start up than normal. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
When the login screen appears, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and test. There's no need to log in while in safe mode.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t start in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.
If iTunes still doesn't work, reinstall the latest version.
Again, getting some context of what you are doing to produce this message would help, particularly since with installing 10.7 you are clearly not doing the standard installation. Are you downgrading?
