I Can't Install Windows 7 on Late 2013 MacBook Pro El Capitan

When I downloaded the BC support drivers from Apple's support page, I uncompressed and opened the drivers from the Boot Camp folder. I noticed "nVidia" folder sitting right there. I'm not sure why when I ran the BC Drivers setup, it did not include the nVidia driver.

I double-clicked on the setup file in the nVidia driver and it ran the setup and installed the driver. I'm not sure if this is something that I am supposed to do, or is the Boot Camp Support Software supposed to include that in the installation while running?

the nVidia card is working now. I just have one more problem. I'm trying to figure out why when I close my laptop, the Windows 7 goes to hibernate but my MacBook shuts itself down afterwards. I noticed this when I open raise the lid and hit the shift key a couple of times. When I do so, nothing happens. I try again after 10 seconds of waiting, and still nothing happens. I hit the power key and the MacBook starts powering up and boots into Mac OSX.

When I'm booted into Mac OSX (El capitan) and logged in, I close the lid and it just hibernates; it doe snot shut down afterwards like it does when I'm in Windows.

I've tried resetting the SMC and NVRAM, and no luck.

Thoughts?

I hope after getting over this hurdle, this progress will be at end 🙂

Closing the lid is set to "Hibernate."

The Windows 7 ACPI driver version is 6.1.7600.16385.

It looks like Windows is not the only troublemaker for this one. The El Capitan OS is the second thorn. I started having issues with restarting the computer from Mac OS while holding the option key, it shuts down instead. I waited for a minute and nothing boots up, so I ended up having to press the power button several times before it boots up again. Today, I looked online to find out if this is a known issue, and it turns out that it is. According to this thread in the Apple Support Communities, a number of users are having similar if not same issues.

I am starting to feel that El Capitan is the queen of the bugs in this one.

I disabled hibernate through powercfg.exe and turned sleep option to "Never" on the current power plan. I also changed the option for "When I close the lid:" to "Do Nothing." I closed the lid, and the Apple icon turned off, so I'm guessing that means the Boot Camp was put to sleep. When I opened the lid without hitting any key, Windows popped back up without requiring me to unlock the session or log back in.

I guess it will help me get by. I am not sure if this will drain the battery over time, but I can test it for a while.

I'm going to try rolling back from El Cápitan to Yosemite and see if that helps remedy the problem.
