Ipad pro battery life?

Hi guys,

What sort of battery life should i be getting on the ipad pro 128gig wifi?

From i full charge my pro dropped 11% in 50 mins from just reading the news app, is that normal?

That is no better and maybe worse than i am getting on my old ipad 3. i haven't heard anything about a battery bug yet, but it seems to drain fast. i can all but sit and watch the battery % tick down.

Probably just low power usage. Streaming video over Wifi is the real test. ArsTechnia noted the base battery usage is only 8 hours vs. Apples advertised 10 so Apple is off by 20% from the get go. So the 5.5 hrs for Wifi video fits their testing.

If the keyboard power port is a problem, that is something Apple can fix with the software upgrade. Since there's no battery in the keyboard, hard to see how just viewing video via Wifi would cause any drain.

i haven't been using the keyboard yet myself, so that isn't effecting the power usage i am seeing.

At least many of you are seeing similar battery life to me. but i guess the question is if that amounts to false advertising or simply i battery bug that needs a patch.

As we all know only to well battery bugs are not uncommon on ios devices.

I do not know if you read the daily battery life expectancy correctly or not because I have been watching practical use reviews of the iPad Pro and reviewers are getting about 8.5- 9 hours of life under more regular uses and not just continuous online video streaming and no one is saying Apple is making fraudulent claims of battery life in any of these video reviews.

About the battery life I have been close to averaging for the last three days.

I've had my pro for just over a week now and am very disappointed at how the battery drains so quickly.

my old iPad (3 years old) was only charged up once a day, since changing to the pro I am having to put it back on charge at least once during the day...using it exactly the same as I did my old one.........

Whilts I love the size of the Pro......I am bitterly disappointed to think I have paid £799 for a newer version thinking I was getting the very best Apple had to offer. At the moment I have been using it today for 4 hours.....and I'm down to 19% battery life

This may well be an iOS issue and not, necessarily, a hardware issue with the iPad Pro.

Hopefully, there is another iOS 9 update in the works.

Have you tried a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons?

Also, in the meantime, send Apple some feedback about this issue.

Good Luck!

I've got the same problem but, my iPad Pro has the lightening charger attached all the time and still drops the % like it wasn't charging. Within an hour I'm loosing around 5% and after having help from the techs and resetting everything it still drops....😠

i feel like taking it back to the shop because more problems are arising. Jerky screen, password box comes on the screen after 5-10 minutes of using the pad and that's after I sign in...😕😠
