Unexpected font change

Unexpected font change for all browsers after upgrading to OS X El Capitan (10.11.1) as shown in the attached image.User uploaded file

I had looked through the source code, too. Most of the fonts appear to be web fonts.


I would have to imagine removing the Stix fonts forced the OS to rebuild the font cache files, thereby fixing the problem. But I've never in my life seen corrupt font cache data cause a font to move all of its baselines around. They usually just won't display, or the OS will substitute either a different font, or display the LastResort font.
