I have some photos I took that I want to put on a web page. Many of the photos are over 3MB and I want to reduce the file size to 100 KB or less. I can't find a way to do this in the new Photos program. The help pages show a method but the choices they suggest are not part of my menu choices.

to the right of "JPEG" click on the V to open the full window

simple - select the photos in Photos and export using the size and quality settings to achieve what you need - it may take a bit of experimentation
This is for iPhoto but for the most part the options apply to Photos too - Exporting From iPhoto

Hey everything is easy once you know how - that is not really an easy thing to catch the first time - you will see it in other places including print dialogue windows, Photos edit windows and elsewhere so look for it as you think things are missing

Unfortunately that dialog box does not appear when exporting from Photos. That is why I am having difficulty reducing the size of these images!
Using this menu in the Export window will affect the file size only.
If you want to change the pixel dimensions you'll need to use the Size drop down menu.
Boy do I feel stupid! I was opening up the drop down box by jpeg and not the drop down box next to the file type. My Bad so thanks for waking me up.
