Silent click not working

My trackpad on retina Macbook pro 13" suddenly switched from silent click to the audible click and I haven't been able to turn it back since. Force click and light/medium/firm options work fine, did SMC and PRAM reset but no changes in trackpad behaviour.

Shall I bring my Mac to the store, as it still has warranty? Or is there anything else I can do?

Thanks,

Kasper

Hi,

I had the exact same problem.

I went to the apple store in Paris, there they tried to open a session with the guest account, and there the silent click was back. They told me to reinstall OSX.

At home I logged in with my regular session and it worked there as well, the silent click was back.

So all in all, a software problem.
