I have a magic mouse (now 2 of them) that have both stopped working with my iMac. I have changed batteries in the old one and have even gotten a new magic mouse, but I am having the same problem with both of them. Scrolling and clicking works, but I cannot actually move the cursor using the mouse. I have a wired one that works fine. I have restarted, removed the plist file as others have suggested, but I am not getting it to work. Any suggestions?

Yes, I have already tried all that before I bought a new one.
Please re-read and try again. I'm pretty certain you likely missed something. If you find you did not then make an appointment at your local Apple Store and speak to a Genius.
No, I did not miss anything. I have turned off all additional blue tooth devices, have no metal or microwaves around, etc. The muti-gestures work, it is moving it around as an actual mouse that does not work.
The "genius" told I needed a new one, but it is doing the same thing.
Okay, then try doing both a SMC and PRAM resets 2-3 times back-to-back and then retest. Please click iMac SMC and PRAM reset for instructions. If those do not work and the device will not pair then you need to take the machine in for service or you will need to call AppleCare and see if they can troubleshoot the issue over the phone.
I had a similar problem recently where the pointer would hardly move at all.
Blow out the optical opening on the bottom of the mouse with a can of air or your breath.
Dirt there prevents the mouse from detecting movement.
My relatively new (last 6 months) Mac Mini / with bt magic mouse and keyboard recently started acting up - the mouse in particular (who can really tell on a keyboard??) - we use it as our media device. I then read somewhere that USB 3.0 devices plugged into the Mac Mini could be causing the issue - and I had indeed recently connected a new device to one of the Mac Mini's ports. Disconnected the device and everything is running smooth as silk.
Not a solution - the point of having USB 3.0 / devices is, well, to use them. But, give it a go if you can and see if your mouse starts behaving. Can't hurt to check.
