Sim Lock on a Iphone6

Trying to transfer my number with Metro PCS to an iphone that shows Sim Lock in upper left corner of the phone. Metro put in a new card and they say it reads Sim Lock

That means the sim card is locked and requires a PIN or PUK code. Go back to Metro PCS and try to find someone working there who isn't an idiot.

No. The SIM card itself is locked with a PUK code. If the phone you have is locked to AT&T, that's a different issue entirely. You will have to contact AT&T about having it unlocked. If you are not a current or former AT&T customer and can't provide a receipt for a no commitment phone purchased either directly from AT&T or from Apple at full price, they will not unlock it for you.
