What is iDrop?

Recently I receive mails from iDrop News? Is that Apple related, can I trust and open these mails safely?

iPad Air, iOS 9.1

Beware of this site. I also started getting emails, thinking they were associated with Apple. I made the mistake of ordering from them -- 3 10’ lightning cables for $30 (plus shipping). None worked and they are not refundable. Hope they didn't damage my iPad or computer. There are no reviews or ratings, although they have a FB page, where they control the posts. Don't buy anything from them.

iDrop is an solid site for Apple News, How-To's, Reviews, etc.

Looking closely, their webstore is operated by StackCommerce which means products are drop-shipped directly from vendors. I am personally subscribed to their newsletter and notifications because I want to be kept in the loop on all things Apple. I have also purchased from the store in the past. Aside from a longer lead time (about one week longer than expected), I'd buy again.

There are no signs of issues I have experienced in the last three years I have been following them. The content is quite good actually.

Cheers,
