Can I use MacRemover to delete glimmerblocker?
THis app came up during a search but it sounds too much like MacKeeper to me. Is there a way to remove glimmerBlocker?

71,
If you are asking about this one, I would not recommend using it.
Use https://glimmerblocker.org/wiki/Uninstall
How do I get rid of this? may also be helpful.
FWIW I have used it for several years, and it is currently installed on my El Capitan system.

Hello Ferd II,
Thanks for the tip. I think I found the one you mentioned from a different direction ...
http://2-macuninstaller.com/remove-glimmerblocker-from-mac.html So yes, I won't be using that. I will follow your suggestion and come back when it is done. Just a note. I use the 'wings' icon on some of my notepaper.
EDIT. Can't remove it but somehow I came to mark myself as helpful !!! First thing in the morning syndrome.
Hello FerdII
Have come across what looks like a very simple way to do this; Go to glimmerBlocker icon and ctrl/click on it.
Then click on the panel that appears and bingo ... icon disappears.

71,
Thanks for the feedback. I have not yet found a reason to remove it, but after every major system update I have to reinstall it because it gets moved to the Incompatible Software Folder.
Have a great day!
