iMac with Canon MP280. Scanner Driver?

Hi.

I have an iMac, running El Capitan 10.11.1

I am currently using a Canon MP280 printer/scanner, but I need a driver for the scanner. It should be a version of MP Navigator EX, but I couldn't find a source anywhere for a version of this that was compatible.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

You would need to temporarily disable SIP by booting into recovery mode:

  1. Restart your Mac, while booting hold down Command+R to boot into recovery mode.
  2. Once booted, navigate to the “Utilities > Terminal” in the top menu bar. Enter csrutil disable in the terminal window and hit the return key.
  3. Restart your Mac and reinstall the Canon MP Navigator 4 driver above.
  4. Re-enable SIP by booting into recovery mode again (cmd+R): Once booted, navigate to the “Utilities > Terminal”. Enter csrutil enable in the terminal window and restart your Mac.
