I have an external cd drive on my Mac Pro.. I can read disc but the MAc does not recognize the disc to write to the disc. I worked for over 9 months. It als wont eject the disc but I found the solution for that I just need an answer for the first part of my question

If you are trying to ADD information to the disk, the first part of the disk must have been written as "extensible". Otherwise, once the initial session is closed, the disk is completely written (even if there is a lot of empty space on it.)
No I have tried multiple blank disk. even when I try to drag anything into it to copy it say

To move the items, click Authenticate.
Where do you click Authenticate.
