Photos disappeared from some albums

I have many albums and folders, including one folder with 94 albums of photos for my website. When adding a photo to one of those folders yesterday, ALL the photos in ALL 94 of those albums disappeared. How can I get them back? Other unrelated photos in different folders and albums are still visible. I looked at Time Machine but only saw iPhoto. How is it possible to get photos from that backup and to have those photos sorted into the proper albums?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5), iPhoto 11 (9.4.3)

I tried … but there were no subfolders or anything like what you show. Also, iPhoto crashed over and over and over again, and now I can't launch it at all. I switched back to the original library but it crashes every time I try to open it.

iPhoto v9.4.3?

A lot of older versions of iPhoto 11 are having this right now:

Huxly647 figured out this fix

1. goto /Applications/iPhoto.app/Contents/Resources

2. delete the files ' googlemap.html ' and googlesearch.html

Iphoto no longer crashes, places doesn't work but it doesn't bother me too much.

I tried, but Applications for iPhoto doesn't show any files, nothing called iPhoto.app/Contents/Resources.

You need to look inside the application. Control (right) - click on the iPhoto application and select Show Package Contents from the contextual menu:

Then go to the Contents/Resources folder.

Spent an hour or so on the phone with an apple tech & still no luck finding those missing photos. I appreciate your quick replies and helpful ideas, and I am really stumped as to why the photos in those 94 albums disappeared while every other album in iPhoto has its proper photos. I've even replaced the library from a time machine backup dated prior to when I added the photo when iPhoto crashed. I very upset, frustrated, baffled, and everything in between!

I have a SOLUTION :-)

I found the photos in my iPhotos Trash … it looks like all, or at least most, of the photos I want are there. If I click a photo and choose "Put Back," it goes to the folder where it belongs. I can select several photos to put back as long as they all belong in the same album. It will take a while, but problem solved! Thanks again🙂
