LG Magic Remote and Apple TV
Is there any way to get the "Magic Remote" in an LG-OLED TV to control Apple-TV?

Thank you so much for this tip. It worked great. One less remote to worry about!
Thanks again. Had already tried both/ Although the OLED TV is great, their customer service/support is chaotic -- at best.
Hello. You may find that you can control ATV directly through the TV using HDMI-CEC. Provided the TV "connects" to ATV, the arrow, enter, and return buttons may work. With my Samsung TV, after it's been started by the ATV remote, I need to specifically select the "Apple TV" input so it says "Connecting to AnyNet device". AnyNet is Samsung's name for HDMI-CEC. Then the buttons I mentioned, and also Play and Pause work. I haven't found any equivalent for the Home button.
Worked for me, thanks! 🙂
That's working for me as well. Given that the Magic Remote has a microphone, I wonder if it could be used to invoke Siri?

Just exit the device setup after choosing “unknown”
You should not use the third party remote learning function on the apple TV. Instead, just turn on SIMPLINK on the LG TV and it should work right away.
Works very well!! Actually I had to hold the buttons in for it to sense the key press from the magic remote.
