What does "ate" your email mean? Writing an effective Apple Support Communities question
I've encountered this problem as well. EC removed my Gmail accounts without warning or explanation. Just poof - it was gone. No explanation.
I need reliable email Every time Apple updates its operating system - my email gets trashed. Im sick of this rotgut
Sorry I was being humorous. El Capitan destroyed my email. Gone, doesn't exist.
Erased you email account or just the mail that was in it? Or no mail app in the applications folder?
So you might try this as a potential solution.
Hope this helps.
GP,
Thanks for your response. As you predicted, the Enable box was not checked.
I checked the "Enable" box and was able to retrieve emails through
3/31/2015.
That's better than what I had yesterday. I wonder what happened to the
rest of the stuff.
Thanks very much for your assistance.
Glad that it helped.
