Deleting multiple file in terminal

hello guys! i dunno if here is the right place but here it goes :


i'm deleting huge file withe terminal to save up time, using sudo rm -r ( i drag the paste ) e go ahead .. then i have to type Y to each file.. how can I type a command and say delete the whole paste *.* ?

MacBook Pro (17-inch Late 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

sudo rm -r
is an immensely powerful and dangerous tool. Have current backups.


The rm command only prompts when there's an -i switch around, or when there's a permissions override necessary. Add -f to suppress the permissions override prompts. See the man page for details and syntax.


Note that incorrect or omitted quoting or backslash-escaping — when there are spaces embedded in filenames, for instance — can result in errant command behavior, potentially including catastrophic data deletion. More than a few folks have ended up with massive data loss, secondary to some variant of the classic

rm -rf /
command.


Post a command example, and somebody here can have a look.

That's not the standard trash directory, that's something local. Your Trashes file is shown above that, with the leading dot.


FWIW, torrents are one of the more common ways that a Mac is infested with malware, and those attacks increasingly involve loading personal data and financial data and the entire list of contact information and the rest are uploaded to the attackers, as well as encrypting your data and ransoming it back to you. Assuming the "cryptor" worked correctly, and actually can be decrypted after you pay.
