Scanner Canon CanoScan LIDE 200 no more known with El Capitan upgrade

Using my USB scanner Canon CanoScan LIDE 200 all over the years, that

device seems no more to work after the upgrade to El Capitan.

The USB device ID is:

Bus 250 Device 007: ID 04a9:1905 Canon, Inc. CanoScan LiDE 200

What can I do to re-enable that device?

Thanks for any help!

Well thank you Dr.Mac.

unfortunately I had VueScan running nicely when the LiDE 200 Scanner Driver Ver. 14.11.4a

ruined my VueScan installation. How can I get rid of that TWAIN driver again?

Which driver I have to get from my backup-drive to reestablish the old behaviour, so the VueScan

can access the scanner again?

Now it seems to me, that VueScan can not access that device through the new driver.

Thanks for further tips,

Uli

That VueScanner tool made me to say "Wow" - it has all I love to have in a scanner application.

As I wrote some lines before I did a big mistake by installing LiDE 200 Scanner Driver Ver. 14.11.4a as an "upgrade" to my scanner

driver environment.

... so, VueScann does not work any more. To re-install the VueScanner did not make a difference to the errorous behaviour.

(... the malfunction sits before the screen ...)

Thanks for any futher assistance

Uli
